The Royal Nursery  :: Nursery Decor  :: Jaag Time Out Bear

  Jaag Time Out Bear
Jaag Time Out Bear  Introducing our newest design that looks pretty simple but is actually a great tool for parents and teachers. These unique plush animals have a standard timer embedded in the belly. They can measure a child's time out but can also be used to teach time management, reward good behavior, help with transitions between activities or assist in teaching children to take turns.
This new learning tool combines a cuddly Jaag plush animal with an attached timer. Parents can use the timer to teach children time management and responsibility or help them calm down and cool off after a frustrating situation.
This product looks pretty simple but is actually a great tool for parents and teachers. Whether you use "Time Outs" or "Positive Discipline" this product by JAAG is great for variety of uses.
The Time's Up/Time Out line has a standard timer built into the stuffed animal. You set the timer for 1 minute to 60 minutes for things like:

* A "time out" or cooling off period.
* Rewards: like 30 minutes of playing with your favorite toy or game
* Setting time limits on activities like TV watching or computer use
* Helps with transitions of activities: like it's 15 minutes before bedtime or 5 more minutes more until your play date is over
* Taking turns: Each child gets 5 minutes with the toy that is being argued over
* Teaches the Concept of Time.

Young children don't understand the difference between 3 minutes or 3 hours. These cute stuffed animal timers make the abstract idea of time into something they can see, hear, and touch.
The Time's Up/Time Out line by JAAG reduces tantrums and arguments in children. Transitions from one activity to the next are easier for everyone when the kids know it's coming. Learning to take turns gets better when the child knows it will be there turn again when the timer goes off. Time Outs are more effective as a reflecting period when they can hear the timer ticking away the minutes. Time limits on activities are set in advance with a clear end point.
